War (a poem)

You look into the eyes of another
And mistake them for your enemy;
They are a mirror of you and yourself –
Do not mistake them for anyone else;
War’s value is one thing:
Money is all the missiles sing –
Millions of humans fighting for one insane man
When all can be stopped
With the joining of hands –
War was birthed out of ‘want’ and ‘need’ –
It is all for power and endless greed;
The media will tell you how to feel
And what to believe,
But don’t let their proprietors foolishly deceive;
The blood is too equally on their hands
As well as this country
And any blind allegiance to man –
Free thought cannot be bought;
We as humans must be taught:
Obedience is death,
Or else all is lost.
